PDF on TV without HDMI
Choose USB, compatible wireless display or a browser workflow for a PDF on TV.
Match the route to the display you actually have
Removing the cable shifts the work to a file reader, a wireless receiver or a web browser. Check the receiver before choosing a phone app.
File compatibility comes before USB capacity
A TV listing photos in its media app may still omit PDFs. If the model only supports images, export each page as an image and use numbered filenames to preserve the order.
Separate discovery trouble from internet trouble
If a Cast receiver does not appear, check the network and receiver configuration. For browser display, open a known website on the actual TV first and complete any guest-network sign-in. A phone with mobile data can control an online TV on a separate connection.

Setup sequence
Start with your TV’s inputs and apps
USB is worth trying if the model can read the file format you plan to show. AirPlay, Google Cast and wireless display support depend on your equipment and the app sending the content.
Use the browser for a selected file
V U This works when the TV or its attached device has an online browser and your phone or laptop is also online. Pair the devices, choose Document and open the PDF. The devices can be on different internet connections.
Plan for no connection
If the TV has no usable browser and no compatible receiver, the browser route needs an attached device. For an offline fallback, test a USB image export or use a computer that already feeds the TV.
Verdict
V U This wins for cable-free PDF presentation on an online TV
A supported TV browser is enough on the display side. The presenter can turn PDF pages from a phone or laptop, including on a different internet connection.
Key factors
- Hardware Use a compatible online browser already attached to the TV.
- Network The display and controller can use separate internet connections.
When to pick something else
Use USB when the exact TV can open the PDF and internet is unreliable. A compatible casting setup is a good option when it is already installed.

What else it does
The display can show a PDF agenda, a welcome message and a timer as the meeting moves along.
